Birds of prey have always inspired and captivated us. They are silent predators from the sky, swooping down with speed, precision, and deadly intent. But they are also vulnerable. Unfortunately, raptors are declining at an alarming rate due to human influence. Globally, nearly 30% of raptors are considered threatened, vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered. Thankfully, there is hope.
The Raptors brings people closer to birds of prey. Our goal is to educate, illuminate and inspire a sense of personal responsibility for the future of both birds of prey and the planet.
August 25 - 27
Our captivating daily flying demonstrations will bring you up close with many of our spectacular raptors. Experience species such as eagles, hawks, owls, and vultures as they soar over your head. Our educators will teach you about raptor species from around the world, their important ecosystem roles, threats they face, and how you can help protect them. We highly recommend checking out a flying demonstration as part of your fun and educational day with us!
Want to get closer? We offer a wide variety of opportunities for you to interact with raptors. Take a walk through the woods with a hawk, hold a falcon on your glove, meet an owl face to beak, or spend an entire day immersing yourself in the world of raptors. Whichever you choose, these awe-inspiring opportunities will help you form a lasting respect for raptors and for the environment.
Look no farther than these amazing hands-on camps for a fun and engaging way to spend the summer! Children will spend five days with our trained wildlife staff, participating in a wide variety of nature and conservation based activities, including lots of hands-on and flight experience with the raptors.
Week-Long Falconry Course
The most in-depth course we offer, the Week long course is designed to teach the basics of handling, training, and hunting with a raptor. It has a much greater falconry emphasis than our other experiences, and is tailored towards people interested in working with birds or taking up private falconry.
