The Falconry course is designed to teach the basics of handling, training, and hunting with a raptor. It has a much greater falconry emphasis than our other experiences, and is tailored towards people interested in actively hunting with birds of prey.
The course covers legislation, health and nutrition, equipment, care and housing, training, and a variety of other topics. It is an intensive week with a lot of hands-on and some theory, working primarily with traditional falconry birds like hawks and falcons.
The Falconry Course runs for 5 days, from 10:00am - 4:00pm.
Minimum age is 16.
This course requires a minimum number of participants to run. If the course does not have enough people to run, it will be cancelled 2 weeks prior to the start date.
*Deposits are refundable up until 3 weeks before the start date of the course, after which they are no longer refundable. Deposits are always refunded in the event a course is cancelled completely.
